A Glimpse of Faith at Eight
At just eight years old, Janet Merriwether was already captivated by the spirit of faith that filled her family and community. Surrounded by love and spiritual teachings, she carried a notebook everywhere, scribbling her young thoughts and dreams. Those simple words were the seeds of a calling she didn’t fully understand at the time. As she grew, her writing became her prayer, her questions her journal, and her purpose her faith.
Janet’s journey to becoming a Woman of God blossomed through these early writings, traveling with her father (who was a minister), and the steadfast belief that God had a plan for her. With boldness and compassion, she now uses her words and experiences to guide others, helping them find their path through faith and journaling. From that young girl with a notebook to the woman of purpose she is today, Janet has made it her mission to help others write speak, and own their own truths, trusting God’s guidance along the way.
From journaling as a child to becoming a leader in both the classroom and the church, Janet has faithfully followed God’s path — teaching in public education for over 30 years, and serving in ministry for 24. Her calling has always been to lead with compassion and help others grow.

The Journey to JanInk
Minister Janet Merriwether’s journey of faith began long before she recognized her true calling. From a young age, Janet felt a deep pull toward spiritual connection, one that grew stronger with each passing year. As her life unfolded, she discovered the power of words and writing as tools to connect with God, to process life’s challenges, and to draw closer to her purpose. This passion led her to become an author, speaker, and mentor, sharing her journey through her books, workshops, and one-on-one mentoring. Along the way, Janet has served not just as a mentor and speaker, but also as a listener and counselor. She approaches each soul with this promise: “I will listen. I will proof. I will work to help you journal your truth and your spirituality.”
With a rich background in education and ministry, Janet spent decades guiding individuals through their own spiritual struggles. Driven by God’s wisdom and the experiences He led her through, she envisioned JanInk as a place where others could be inspired to walk boldly in their faith. Through JanInk, Janet shares her love for writing and reflection, helping others find clarity, strength, and purpose. Her goal is simple but powerful: to guide others toward wholeness and encourage them to live out their God-given potential, one word at a time.
